Our Nursery School caters for children aged 2 years to 5 years. The children develop their knowledge through stimulating activities and equipment. This is the age where friendships are beginning to form and creativity and fun are our priority. Your child’s keyperson will help them develop their social and physical skills by encouraging independence and freedom of choice. As the children progress through the early years of their life, the emphasis continues to be on the individual child with activities planned around their interests. The children take part in planned group activities daily and are visited weekly by Music Bus and ‘Tatty Bumpkins’ children’s yoga.
All children will enjoy activities planned following the seven areas of learning in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). We have excellent links with the additional services within our community and will support our families and children when accessing different agencies. The children’s keyperson will encourage a love of learning and caring for each other and the world around them. We aim to develop all areas of learning and prepare the children for their move to ‘big school’ with regular targeted sessions aimed at preparing the pre school children for primary education.
